Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Cambridge Youth Finance Academy website (smooth-berry.com) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.

Service Description

Cambridge Youth Finance Academy provides educational programmes focused on financial literacy for children and teenagers aged 7-17. Our services include group courses, intensive workshops, one-to-one mentoring, and family programmes delivered in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Enrollment and Payment

Enrollment Process

Enrollment in our programmes is subject to availability and requires:

  • Completion of the enrollment form by a parent or legal guardian
  • Confirmation of availability from Cambridge Youth Finance Academy
  • Payment of the programme fee
  • Acceptance of these Terms of Use and our policies

Payment Terms

  • Programme fees must be paid before the first session unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing
  • Prices are stated in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable
  • Payment plans may be available for certain programmes upon request
  • We reserve the right to modify programme prices with reasonable notice

Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellation by You: If you cancel more than 14 days before the programme start date, you will receive a full refund minus a £25 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date are non-refundable unless we can fill your place from our waiting list.
  • Cancellation by Us: If we must cancel a programme, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative session
  • Missed Sessions: Fees for individual missed sessions are non-refundable, though we provide materials for any missed content
  • Programme Changes: We reserve the right to modify programme schedules, instructors, or content. Significant changes will be communicated in advance

Participant Behavior and Conduct

Expected Conduct

Students are expected to:

  • Attend sessions punctually and participate actively
  • Treat instructors and fellow participants with respect
  • Follow instructions and programme guidelines
  • Maintain appropriate behavior during sessions

Discipline

We reserve the right to remove any participant from a programme without refund if their behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to others. Such decisions will only be made after appropriate warnings and consultation with parents/guardians.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on our website and in our programmes, including text, graphics, logos, designs, course materials, and educational resources, is the property of Cambridge Youth Finance Academy and protected by copyright law.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission
  • Use our content for commercial purposes
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

Programme Materials

Educational materials provided during programmes are for personal use only and may not be shared, distributed, or used for commercial purposes.

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific programme giving rise to the claim.

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their children have adequate personal insurance and medical coverage.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All our staff undergo appropriate background checks and safeguarding training. We maintain policies and procedures in accordance with UK safeguarding requirements.

Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to our designated safeguarding lead.

Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy and GDPR Information page. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in those policies.

Force Majeure
